Comment on Conspiracy Conspirators Refuted and Rebuked by Manny Clay http://www.theology.gsbaptistchurch.com/?p=461#comment-177 Sun, 14 Feb 2016 17:36:28 +0000 http://www.theology.gsbaptistchurch.com/?p=461#comment-177 Dear Pastor Rice, Although I have not met the acquaintance of Mr. Stewart or yourself, allow me to make make a brief unsolicited comment or two regarding your rebuke of Mr. Stewart’s Flat Earth article. I do so as a fellow born again Christian.

Let me begin by stating that I believe in the Holy Scriptures as the inerrant, infallible Word of God. I utilize the King James Bible and not versions that derive from Alexandrian sources. Having said that in 2011/2012 I came go the understanding from Scripture, science, and my own observations that God’s Creation of the universe is geocentric in nature, and not heliocentric. I had not given flat earth a look until late last year. I am now convinced of this as well, again from Scripture, science, and my own observations.

You make a statement that the earth is not spinning at 1000 mph. I take it you believe the earth to be approximately 25,000 miles in circumference at the equator as science states. I further take it for granted that you believe the earth rotates once per day on its axis thereby giving us the 24 hr day s science states. If the earth is not spinning at approximately 1040 mph at the equator, how fast is it spinning?

I took up your scientific experiment with a clock face. The diameter of my clock is 9″. The circumference is therefore 28.2744 inches. The minute hand makes a complete revolution in 1 hours time. The speed at the end tip of that minute hand is equivalent to .00044625 mph, and yes, the water drop was not flung off the dial.

If the earth is not revolving around the sun at approximately 67,000 mph, how fast is it revolving? Do you believe as science states that our sun is travelling around the Milky Way at approximately 500,000 mph, and that our galaxy is whirling around the universe at 670 million mph again as science states?

Pastor Rice, you state that all observational science, all physicists, etc. believe in the heliocentric model. This is simply not the case. In fact, physics since Einstein assures us that one cannot know what model of the universe we are in by observation. If you are interested I will provide some quotes for you.

As for a ball earth model simply look at a globe. Find the Nile River. As you know it is the longest river in he world. But if the earth is a globe that river (and all others) would have to flow much of their journey uphill. I take it for granted that you are in agreement. If you would like more information on the flat earth simply let me know.

As to your method of treatment toward Mr. Stewart let me say I am sorely disappointed. If we are not to call a brother a “fool” what do you suppose will be the end of one who refers to a fellow believer as delusional and psychotic, or a lying deceiver?

Praying for all three of us. Manny Clay
